Fraudsters have taken advantage of the problems with logistics and the departure of many companies from the Russian market due to sanctions. For example, they open stores on foreign marketplaces under the names and using the taxpayer identification numbers of unsuspecting self-employed citizens. As a result, they face a barrage of claims from buyers who receive junk in their parcels and lose money.

Izvestia was told about this practice of scammers on the AliExpress platform in the People's Front project "Moshelovka", where victims turn. Human rights activists point out weak points in the verification of sellers on marketplaces. This allows scammers to develop their activities, which affect both the "sellers" whose data is used and the buyers.
