Embodied, a robotics and artificial intelligence company, has developed an educational robot called Moxie for children.
The robot weighs about three kilograms. It will conduct “lessons” for the child, which will be downloaded from the cloud every week. And, thereby, promote the cognitive, emotional and social development of the cayman islands number data child, the company expects. Initially, Moxie was intended for children with autism, now Embodied offers it to all children from six to nine years old.
Privacy and security are major concerns when it comes to creating educational technology for children, and Moxie is unlikely to be an exception. Moxie's data will be encrypted, and parents or guardians will be the only ones who can access the data, said Embodied founder Paolo Pirjanian.
The company will launch sales of the robot in the fall of 2020. The exact date is not disclosed.
The robot will cost $1,500. After the first year of use, you will also need to connect a subscription for $60 per month.
Embodied's investors include Amazon, Intel, Sony, and Toyota.
