of applications online before and let's be honest, it doesn't work very well. This is of course an individual matter for each company, but the advantage of participating in a job fair is that you can go straight in and talk to a recruiter. The conversation with Tomek was short and to the point, it took us a few minutes. We established more than if I had spent a few hours polishing a perfect CV, tailored to the IT industry, and waiting for any feedback.
Talent Days: That's true, the doctor data
biggest advantage is the direct contact - you approach, talk, find #PerfectMatch and in three days (as in your case) you start working! Since you already have a cool and secure job, maybe you can share some advice with those who are still looking for one?
Krzysiek: I would say to start thinking about what you like and what you expect from life earlier. I think I succeeded because I started looking early, including by going to job fairs while I was still in technical school. In fact, I started looking through job advertisements in my second year of technical school. It is worth entering the job market calmly, doing it step by step, slowly - it will pay off in time. I see a difference between myself and my
older friends who have already graduated and have a bigger problem finding a job, because they get into it like crazy and it overwhelms them. They studied for years and suddenly wake up that they need to find a job. They find themselves in an unknown reality and have no idea how to go about it. They don't know how to make a CV, they don't know how to prepare for a recruitment interview, what to expect from it. They are afraid, stressed,
they don't know that there are initiatives such as Talent Days fairs. If you start even a little earlier, you have time to prepare calmly and enter the job market painlessly.
