A simple example of such a service is RescueTime. It analyzes all the sites you visit during the day and generates a report for you.

The service is available in both a free and a paid version, which costs $9 and can block websites that are “harmful” to you.

From the phone
Many modern phones already have a built-in system for tracking app usage. For example, in Android it is located in Settings - Device usage and parental control.

Here you can see how much time you spent in certain applications, and the statistics are stored for a long period.

If you see that you are “hanging” in some gambling data japan phone number for too long, you can immediately limit the time of its use.

How to deal with timekillers

It's very simple, you just need to exclude them from your life.

This is where the article would end if it were really so

To make it easier to tell you how to get rid of timekillers, I will give an example of my personal struggle with them.

Step one: clean social networks
The first thing I personally noticed was that I spend too much time scrolling through my VK feed. Memes don't add to my productivity, which means I need to get rid of them. We clean out the list of groups and delete everything entertaining and that doesn't relate to our development and professional activities.

Here's an example of what I left:

VK groups

I couldn't bring myself to delete the hookah shop group, they do publish promotions there after all

However, entertainment content has almost completely disappeared from my feed, and it’s not so fun to spend hours on professional content. I don’t know how many hours I saved on this, but it was definitely not a few hundred.

Step two - visited sites
There are two options here, the first, hard one, is to disable the ability to visit certain sites through a browser extension or Host file. The second option is to simply start controlling yourself and stop visiting such sites.

I chose the second option. It's like with smoking, you can pretend as much as you want to quit, stop buying cigarettes, but when the opportunity arises, you'll still bum a cigarette on the street. The best way to quit is to just stop smoking.

Since I was serious about optimizing my time, I decided to voluntarily give up visiting most entertainment sites.

It can be very difficult to get rid of the desire to "roll a rollercoaster", I know from my own experience. However, this is also quite treatable. You just need to overcome yourself and delete all the games from your PC. That's what I did, simply deleting everything that could be played.
