Research by Admitad, a Dubai-based partner marketing platform, shows that online sales in the Middle East and North Africa saw explosive growth during Ramadan 2024, with e-commerce transactions increasing by 23% over last year and the website's total transaction volume (GMV) increasing by 13%.

The foreign trade e-commerce market in the Middle East has become one of the fastest growing markets in the world. According to a report released by Dubai South E-commerce Zone in 2023, from 2018 to 2022, the scale of foreign trade e-commerce in the Middle East and North Africa has grown at a compound annual growth rate of 32%.
