Problems and advantages of online education

As for online education, as I said, it can be different. The main problem is that you don’t have personal contact with the student, and this is a big minus. I am a teacher myself and before the pandemic, I preferred personal classes, but when it started, I had to go online. I saw that everything can be done online, using the right tools. Zoom and other platforms provided everything you need.
Zerocoding fits this format perfectly. It is important for me to be able to study at a convenient time, review the material and test my knowledge. I can pause the video and repeat after the teacher, which would be impossible to do in a classroom.
Online education gives me the opportunity uk email database to test my skills and get feedback. I can contact the course curator who checks my projects and points out mistakes. This is really useful. In other courses that I know, such checking and support are not always available. And here there are also very useful chats with constant support from classmates and curators - this is super valuable. So for me, zero coding has become a great tool for learning.
How I rate the Zerocoder program for children
I have a teenager at home, and the program did not suit him. But that is a separate story: the child speaks Russian, but reads poorly. We discussed, drew using MidJourney. It was about 7-8 months ago. The boy finds it difficult to motivate himself. I noticed that teachers need to better understand the psychology of children, they sometimes teach too childishly or too adultly.
However, I am confident that Zerocoder is a great opportunity for children in Russia to fill the gaps in practical knowledge and application of theory.
If we can motivate children and provide them with practical material, this can complement and eventually change the Russian education system. We need to create a good system, and not rely on individual outstanding teachers. If Zerocoder takes on this mission, it will be great, but it is not easy. It is difficult to explain to a child who is already demotivated that he needs to do additional work. His question is: "How will this help me with my grades?" To which the answer is: "It will not help directly, but when you become interested, you will be able to show excellent results not only in school subjects, but also in achieving life goals that you set for yourself."
If you want to introduce your child to the world of IT and new technologies, come to our free trial lesson for schoolchildren. There we will tell you about the basics of Python and ChatGPT and explain why it is useful for children to learn these tools.
On Teaching Kids Development with AI
Recently, renowned mathematician Terence Tao, winner of the Fields Medal, launched projects with AI. He emphasized that AI is an assistant for a mathematician, which allows him to set and perform broader tasks. In programming, the situation is similar. ChatGPT can be a useful tool for those who already have an idea of the subject.
Giving kids experience with AI is helpful, but it’s important to explain that AI can make mistakes, just like a calculator. We need to teach kids the difference between right and wrong answers, and show them how AI can help them explore their interests. For example, I worked with a student interested in marine biology, and we used AI to solve problems in that field, combining them with mathematical modeling and programming — a unique experience available to biologists in graduate school. And with AI, this is possible for a smart child of 14.
We need to show children that AI is the future and they will be in this environment. Maybe we should change the approach: first work with AI and then master the formal foundations. It is important that children understand how to use AI and that it requires skills.
Zerocoder can teach kids how to use AI effectively, which will open up new horizons for them. I would be happy to see such a program myself, and maybe even participate in its development.
