Regrouping became a conscious necessity

Post by tanjimajuha20 »

Market participants call maximizing the lifespan of existing software and equipment, choosing suppliers from countries that are not involved in sanctions, as well as searching for guatemala cell phone number list new legal, financial and logistical schemes and switching to fundamentally new technological stacks the most effective methods of working in the new reality.

The data center market continued to develop. Both the number of facilities and rack spaces grew, despite all the difficulties with the supply of equipment, both server and engineering. "Since this year, 3data, together with IKS-Consulting, regularly conducts analytical studies of the data center market, so we found that by the end of 2022, a total of just over 3,000 new racks will be commissioned. Previously, just over 4,000-5,000 racks were commissioned over several years. But the total number of rack spaces in the Russian data center market, as we expect, will grow by 6% and reach 56 thousand units. The dynamics of commissioning new capacities has slowed down for a number of reasons, including the geopolitical situation, which results in difficulties with equipment supplies and the high cost of attracting investors," - such a forecast is made by Ilya Khala, General Director of 3Data LLC.

"Large-scale colocation projects are discussed and planned for months, and sometimes years, so the situation on the data center market is less susceptible to sudden changes," recalls Andrey Aksenov, CEO of Ikselerate LLC.

A number of market players have significantly adjusted their plans. For example, Rostelecom-TsOD suspended all of its regional projects in June. However, this operator opened a data center in the Murmansk region at the end of October.

A significant part of the market is still cautious. "The cloud services market is leveling out in terms of the range of products provided. Leading companies are not investing too much in ultra-innovative development, solving operational difficulties - they are very different. Customers are cautiously looking at all cloud solutions available on the market, rebuilding their project planning models, assessing risks in a new way, and are concerned about reducing risks in the application layer of the IT landscape. In total, this only slows down market growth and increases the time it takes to make a decision on using cloud services. This trend will continue in the first half of next year," says Artem Yagovitin, head of cloud products at Reksoft.

According to Ilya Khala, demand greatly exceeds supply on the market: "Using 3data as an example, we see that when new sites are put into operation, most of the rack space is contracted by customers even before the official opening of the facility. One way or another, demand contributes to the growth of the industry, so the industry will develop, but perhaps with a temporary slowdown."

Andrey Aksenov also sees a serious increase in demand, the catalyst for which is practical interest in cloud services: "We, like other market participants, are noting an increase in demand from both new and existing clients. The active dynamics this year are due to the surge in the domestic cloud segment. Cooperation with cloud providers has been our strategic priority for over 10 years
