Everything you publish on your site is content. This includes articles, video and audio content, graphics, blog posts, news blocks, press releases, and more.

There are three main types of content: sales-oriented, entertaining, and educational or informational. The purpose of publishing any material is to capture the user's attention. Roughly speaking, you wouldn't chop a piece of bread with an axe, but you would cut it with a handy knife. So, the content should also be selected wisely. If you want to make your brand popular, come up with, for example, catchy video tutorials that involve your product. If they are interesting, people las vegas email list will definitely share them with their friends and your brand will quickly become famous.

Set a goal for yourself and then choose the way you will achieve it.

So, what are the types and kinds of content and what does each of them represent?

Selling content

Its main purpose is to sell. The goal of a sales-oriented text is to identify the buyer's problem and explain that it can be easily solved with your product or service.

The share of selling text should be about 30% of all published material.

Some tips:

Avoid using difficult to understand terminology and wording. Address users as simply as possible, as if they were good friends.

Imagine what questions readers might have, and let the text immediately contain answers to them. If you, for example, sell motorcycles, then they will probably seem too expensive to someone. Immediately offer a favorable payment option, with a loan or installment plan. Come up with other bonuses, such as "whoever brings a friend buys cheaper" or the possibility of paying in small amounts: "pay only 500 rubles a month and get a motorcycle today."

Avoid using general phrases like, "Our coats are of excellent quality." State what specifically makes your product good for the buyer: "Our coats do not lose their appearance even after 20 cleanings."

There are different types of text content, and there are several ways to create text that will sell well. For example, the AIDA model is widely used. In it, the letters of the title imply a certain important action:

Attention (A) — to attract the client’s attention.

Interest (I) — to interest.

Desire (D) — to form a desire.

Action (A) — to push to action.

3 main types of content

The headline itself attracts attention, and it is necessary to interest in the first paragraph. The rest of the text should fully disclose all the advantages of the product (service) so that a person has a desire to possess it. The call to action or the button "Place an order/purchase" is placed at the very end of the material.

Another way to convey information to the buyer is to follow the ODC scheme:

Offer (O) — formation of a sentence.

Deadline (D) — the time limit of its action.

Call to action (C) — a direct call to action.

A simple example: "Chic evening dresses from 4,000 rubles. This price is valid until the end of May. Contact us today. Phone number +7 111 111 1111."

Based on this structure, you can create almost any type of content, advertisements, article titles, leaflets with product (service) descriptions and commercial offers.

Sales texts are applicable to very different areas:

for one-page websites (landing pages);

in announcements about promotional events, discounts and bonus terms of cooperation;

in compiling product descriptions;

for placement on the main pages of websites;

as texts for catalogues;

for drawing up commercial proposals;

when describing services.

Entertainment content

This refers to publications that help lift your spirits, evoke positive emotions and a desire to share joy with your friends. It works like a snowball. One person will repost an article, for example, “Special recipes for making “Pasta Mia”, another will see it and share it with friends - and now a huge circle of potential buyers knows about your brand.

About 20% of all published material is entertainment content.

This method of presenting information does not directly lead to a sale - it is designed to tell as many people as possible about your product.
