Frequency is an indicator that tells us how many times, on average, one person saw an ad.
So we can see on a timeline, a cost/result graph, and then overlay it with a frequency graph. Or compare them with each other by clicking between them. Then it will be very easy to see the moment when our cost/result started to increase dramatically and compare that with the frequency.

If these periods overlap, then we can very likely say that the phenomenon mentioned above has occurred – people have watched our ad and seen it too many times, so something should be done about it. See, for example, how to show an ad on Facebook only once a day .

Of course, there may be other scenarios, for example that the frequency doe europe rcs data s not increase at all, but the cost/result does – but that is a topic for a completely different episode.

This method allows for similar analysis, but not at the level of a single chart, but across the entire Manager.

In the Ads Manager, there is a button called “Customize Column.” These are three vertical lines that hide options for customizing columns, i.e. enabling the elements you want to see in your table as charts, rows, or columns.

What's next?

You are interested in the two metrics we mentioned a moment ago – frequency and cost/result . In your column view, next to the default cost per result, you will then see frequency, which is usually hidden.
