Google's AI chat, known as Google Bard, recently not only received fact-checking for AI results but also rolled out its first extensions. While the number of these extensions is currently limited, it is only a matter of time before more are added.

If you're curious and want to try the extensions for yourself, it's easy. Visit Google Bard and look for a new puzzle icon in the top right corner. Click on it to activate the extensions. If you don't see the icon, don't worry! Google may be gradually rolling out the feature to different users.

How Extensions Work in Bard
Bard only uses the extensions that are enabled in your settings. When Bard finds an extension that can help, it automatically sends information from your Bard conversation and other relevant information to that extension. For example, Bard will send your location data to Google Maps if you ask about coffee shops near you and the Google Maps extension is enabled.
Data Protection and Extensions
Bard does not access your personal content in other services without your permission. However, if you interact directly with another Google service in Bard, your activity may be stored by that other service. It is always important to be aware of privacy policies when working with such extensions.
