What Mistakes Will Negatively Affect Your Online Store Name

An alternative way to choose a name for a store that has helped more than one businessman: selecting words using an online dictionary of synonyms. The name of the store is the first impression of your business, and therefore it should be as simple and understandable as possible. If the name of the store (and the domain) is not associated with anything, for example ybdh.com.ua, a person does not perceive it and immediately forgets it. Even a short name or abbreviation should be associated with something, and forget about complex names like "Stroykhimprominvest".

Numbers and hyphens are used.

Аqua-798-shop — this name doesn't mean anything to your potential customers. But if you deliver pizza 24 hours a day, then the name Pizza_24 would be quite suitable.

Pronunciation ambiguities and transliteration errors.

Ideally, the spelling of the name should match the pronunciation, so that its perception by ear does not turn against you. For example, the name "Aqua 24" can be written as aqua24, akva24, aqva24, acva24, or even akwa24. Especially avoid vowels and hissing sounds, cumbersome in writing. We mean the letters Ж, Ш, Ч, Я, Ю, and the transliteration Щ is just awful, because there are 4 symbols at once - shch.

Incomprehensible humor and playfulness are out of place.

If you are not selling jokes, fancy dress costumes, cheap goods like 1000 and 1 small change, then the name should be serious. Playfulness is not needed here. If you are selling boats or expensive vintage jewelry, then the names aqua-shka or antі-kvashka are an extremely unfortunate choice.

Negative coloring and negative meaning.

Аnti-kvashka may end up on the reject list for this reason, as well as the words down, mini, nazad. Do not use names with a regressive connotation and words from the stop list (shop, vip, super, best, elit, etc.), which are already so boring that they only cause a negative reaction.
