Duplication? That is absurd

First, the positive: The National Council's Telecommunications Commission (KVF) has refrained from demanding a clear-cutting of the SRG. The demands made public on Tuesday evening refer to the SRG as an open content provider, almost exactly analogous to the model put forward by Avenir Suisse in 2014 .
According to the wishes of the KVF, the license europe rcs data fee-financed content should not be used and distributed by the SRG itself, but by other providers (persoenlich.com reported) . The KVF's concerns also included the SRG shutting down special interest stations such as Radio Swiss Pop, Radio Swiss Classic, Radio Swiss Jazz as well as Radio SRF Virus, Radio SRF Musikwelle or Radio RTS Option Musique. A restriction in this direction is understandable under certain circumstances.
But not the demand to reduce " duplication " between the SRG regional journals and the news from private broadcasters. This is absurd. There is only one news agency left in Switzerland. In addition, there are quasi-media monopolies in the regions away from the Zurich media center and national newspapers have withdrawn their local correspondents. That is why the SRG regional journals are indispensable. They take up topics that private TV and radio do not cover and offer the public a valuable alternative. Cutting costs here is wrong.
