PassMark Performance Test - 5GHz Download Speed
Data loading was also fast in this test, with the ASUS RT-BE58U delivering excellent data transfer speeds that were also quite stable.
When testing the ASUS RT-BE58U at 5GHz, its performance was mixed. In some tests, it was behind Wi-Fi 6 routers with similar overall throughput, while in others, it was clearly faster.
Wired network performance and USB port
I also wanted to check how the ASUS RT-BE58U performs over lithuania mobile database Ethernet connections. My internet connection maxes out at 1Gbps download speeds and 800Mbps upload speeds. When tested with SpeedTest, this router maxed out at 922.69Mbps download speeds, which is similar to the routers I compared it to, and 696.94Mbps upload speeds, which is slower than I’d like.
SpeedTest on 1Gbps Ethernet connections
For the last test, I wanted to measure the speed of the USB 3.2 Gen 1 port found on the back of the ASUS RT-BE58U, which, among other things, allows users to turn their devices into a NAS network-attached storage by connecting a fast SSD to it. I did the same and transferred some data to and from the SSD. The download speed I achieved was very fast: 879.35 Mbps, and the upload speed was equally impressive: 644.34 Mbps. In the chart below, you can see how the ASUS RT-BE58U compares to other routers. Keep in mind that the Xiaomi Mi AIoT Router AX3600 is missing from this chart because it does not have a USB port.
