After deciding on the general keywords I would like to target in my article, I begin searching for specific keywords on Google and take notes on the suggestions Google provides when typing into the search box and the “Related Searches” displayed at the bottom of each page.
The next step is to narrow down my selection to one or two candidates and then I start thinking about what the actual title would look like. The last step before making the final decision is to do another Google search using the full title. If the top positions are occupied by really big, high-authority websites, this reduces the chances of my blog post achieving good rankings, regardless of how good my content can do.
