Can Schema slow down my website?

Schema can be implemented on the website in various ways such as microdata, RDFa, JSON, etc. The most recommended way to implement structured data is through JSON, so if you use this method, your website loading will not be affected any more than any other content such as js, css, etc.

Does Schema help me appear in featured snippets?
Although Schema is supported by Google and other oman mobile database partners, we may think that having structured data on our website would help to obtain featured snippets and although Google initially confirmed this , currently, according to this study by Getsat , most of the sites that obtain featured snippets in the search engine do not have structured data markup.

What care should I take with the content that I am going to add to my schema:

One factor to take into account when showing content to Google is its authenticity. This must be, above all, original: it cannot be taken from another website or appear more than once on ours, since this would be considered “duplicate content.” What Google does with pages that have duplicate content is not “penalize” them as many people believe, but rather it does not show them in its results, and instead shows what it considers to be the “original” page.

One of the ways to prove that your content is original is to use Schema structured data markup (Author Schema), so Google will take the content into account over other possible versions or direct copies that it may find on the Internet.
