Real users go through your server, then the data is sent to GA. So it leaves accurate information. Ghost spam is sent directly to GA servers, without knowing your site URL. So all the remaining data is fake. Source: carloseo.com

The spammer misuses this feature to mimic visits to your site, most likely using automated scripts to send traffic to randomly generated tracking codes (UA-0000000-1).

Because these hits are random, spammers belgium number data know who they are hitting. For this reason, ghost spam always leaves a fake or (not set) host. Using this logic, by creating a filter that only includes valid hostnames, all ghost spam will be dropped.

Now here comes the "hard" part. To create this filter, you بنانے کی ضرورت ہوگیa list of your valid hostnames .

A list of what!?

Essentially, a hostname is any location where your GA tracking code is located. You can find this information from the hostname report:

Go to Audience > Select Network > Change the Primary Dimension to Hostname at the top of the table.
If you have analytics enabled, you should see at least one: your domain name. If you see more, scan through them and make a list of all the ones that are valid for you.
