John Mueller, a senior search analyst at Google, told X, “We will definitely remove the disavow link tool at some point,” suggesting that most websites don’t need to use the feature.

Bing has already removed a similar feature. At the malaysia mobile database time, Microsoft's Fabrice Canel explained that the disavow links tool was no longer needed because Bing's search algorithms are now great at recognizing which links to count and which to ignore. "Times have changed, and so has our technology," Canel wrote.
The main purposes of the tool:
Penalty Protection – Websites that have a lot of low-quality or spammy backlinks can be penalized by Google and their search rankings may suffer.

The tool allows Google to tell them that these links are not under the control of the site owner and should not be considered in their ranking.
Improve SEO profile – By getting rid of bad or toxic links, you can improve your website’s overall link profile, which has a positive impact on search engine rankings .
There are many SEOs who spend their time disavowing links in Google Search Console. If and when Google removes the link removal tool from Google Search Console, SEOs will no longer have to deal with this task.

The truth is, most SEOs probably shouldn’t spend much time on this task at this point based on the communication Google has been providing over the past few years.
