That's right, and that's because customer relationship management systems don't really cover those aspects, right?

Steven:

One of them is, Salesforce. And we work with Salesforce as well. The others, if you wanted that type of capability, it's too niche for them to care about. Because field sales is just a small segment of the sales world. There's retail sales, inside sales, and online sales. It's too niche for them to have built a whole suite of tools just for that type of person. What we do is convert the CRM for that person, which helps them collect more data and get more usage, etc.

Jeroen:

Yes, and is this based on a problem that jiangsu cell phone number list you yourself encountered? I see that before Badger Maps and until exactly the previous month, you were working as a regional sales manager at Google. Is that where it all started?

Steven:

Yeah, my whole career has been in field sales, back when we were selling software as field reps. Today, most software is sold by inside salespeople. Maybe not the biggest deals. And I think that's a mistake. I think we would sell more software, at higher prices, and with shorter sales cycles if we went out to our customers. But in general, in software today, we close most of our deals on the phone. And yeah, I've always worked in field sales, so I was very exposed to the types of problems that we ended up solving and when I was at Google, what I was selling was the Google Maps API, which is kind of the base layer of the maps that we use here. So I was exposed to both the problem and the thing that we were going to solve the problem with.
