It seems obvious, but we still often see it go wrong here. When asked who the target group is, we often hear a very broad answer. 'Every company', 'half of the Netherlands', 'the Randstad'; it is often still too broad. Go a layer deeper:

Which customers really make me happy?
Which customers generate the most revenue?
Which customers can I close deals with the fastest?
Which customers stay customers the longest?
Which customers are happiest with us?
By answering these questions, you will get a email industry list optometry much better picture of the target audience segments you want to focus on and you will be able to draw up a better Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).

2. Take the lead within your industry
Once you have defined your ideal customer, start looking for their pain points, frustrations, dreams, wishes, etc. The best way to do this is to actually talk to your current customers who meet your ICP.

Get started with your customer's frustrations and suggestions for improvement, show that you care about your customer. Try to make the customer's dreams come true in the solution you offer. Show how other companies, who are not yet customers, can also achieve this. Develop the story of your business in which you can lead others to a better future, see it as a lighthouse. Slowly but surely you build a thought leader position within the segment of your target group. This does not happen overnight. That is why we recommend reserving a substantial part of the marketing budget for building awareness and generating demand.
