Peculiarities of network marketing in France

The MLM industry in France began its development back in the 1960s, growing dynamically and making a significant contribution to the state economy. Today, the country's network market ranks 2nd in Europe and 9th in the world in terms of sales volume.

According to research by the WFDSA (World Federation of Direct Selling Associations), the volume of the MLM market in France has already reached over 4.3 billion dollars.

The active growth of MLM business in France is primarily linkedin data due to the digitalization of sales and recruitment processes, as well as the greater trust of the local population in this model. All this allows finding clients and attracting partners much faster. More than 55% of the French regularly make purchases of MLM companies' products and 83% of distributors are very satisfied with their activities in network marketing.

The most effective tools for attracting clients and partners to network business are now social networks, which are used by 74% of distributors in France, and video conferencing - 54%.

If we talk about the product categories that are in the greatest demand on the MLM market in France, the leading positions here are occupied by:

Food and beverages – sales in this category amount to $1.5 billion, which covers 33% of the market;

household goods - sales revenue in 2022 increased to $1.2 billion, and market share to 27%;

recovery – the sector’s volume in direct sales in France is $552 million or 12%;

Cosmetics & Care/Clothing & Accessories – two categories that hold equal market shares of 9% with revenues of $414 million.
