The European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) was founded over 30 years ago as an independent, non-profit membership association of management education providers and leading companies. It is Europe's unique platform for information, research, networking and debate on innovation and best practices in management development.
Professor Cornuelle, can you briefly tell us what EFMD is and what role it plays in management education?
As Europe's largest network association in the field of management development, with around 400 members from academia, business, public service and consultancy in forty countries around Europe and the world, the European Foundation for Management Development plays a central role in shaping the European approach to management education. However, as the profession of management education itself becomes more global, its members are also coming from outside Europe.
EFMD is financed exclusively by fees paid by its members or by charges levied on it brother cell phone list to cover the costs of its various activities and services. These include conferences, meetings, seminars, teaching groups, etc., which target different groups of members.
In addition to the annual conference for all members, there is also an important meeting of the deans and directors of schools and universities, as well as special meetings for MBA directors and external relations officers. At the corporate level, a series of events and meetings focused on management development issues in companies are also held.
In addition, EFMD provides a range of information services, including a newsletter and a quarterly publication called "Forum". It also runs some special projects, usually in collaboration with other organisations such as the European Commission, such as the China European International Business School in Shanghai,
