Economy/Business.- Telecor will sell Ukash prepaid internet cards at more than 250 points of sale

MADRID, 19 (EUROPA PRESS).- Telecor, part of El Corte Inglés, will sell the new Ukash prepaid cards for online purchases at more than 250 points of sale, the company focused on the marketing and provision of telecommunications services announced today.

Telecor stores where these cards can be purchased include email database 61 stores located in post offices, as well as 84 specialized points of sale in the El Corte Inglés and Hipercor shopping centers, 33 Opencor stores, five Supercor stores, and two Sfera stores.

With this agreement, Ukash, which until now only offered prepaid coupons, will expand its sales network in Spain to more than 4,300 stores.

In this way, Ukash and Telecor respond to the more than 10 million potential Internet users willing to make purchases online if they had a secure payment system and did not have to provide their personal information.

In fact, Telecor expects 5% of these Internet users to become new buyers by the end of 2006 thanks to this new payment system.

The agreement will be effective starting in June, and initially, all users who want to make online purchases and pay with Ukash will be able to find prepaid cards at all Telecor points of sale, with other points of sale gradually joining.
