How to create a social eating event in a restaurant
Fourteen seats, one table. We sponsored the event exclusively through Facebook , accepting reservations from groups of up to four people. This restriction was applied so that the group of diners gathered for dinner would be composed partly of people who already knew each other, to overcome the embarrassment, and partly of complete strangers, so as not to lose the essence of social eating: socializing at the table with strangers .

Facebook was chosen as the dissemination tool and therefore not printed posters distributed around the city, for several reasons:

To make the event a meeting point between the virtual and the real;
To remain faithful to the historical birth of the phenomenon of social eating, which has always seen social networks as the only means of diffusion;
To increase the visibility of the venue's Fanpage .

In the days following the social eating experiment, several users requested a reservation to taste wine and food at the venue, via Facebook's instant messaging service, confirming the importance of this platform suited to users who are constantly "online" and looking for immediate answers.
