Digital transformation is a reality in the marketing world, but there are still many challenges that professionals must face to fully adapt their companies to the new and changing 2.0 environment.
And what better place to learn, reflect and share experiences with emerging technologies than at the DES|Digital Business World Congress , which will be held in Madrid for the second time on May 23, 24 and 25.
More than 18,000 industry professionals will meet at an event that this year has many new features. To find out all about them, we interviewed Lluis Altes , Stategy Director of DES2017 โ Digital Business World Congress.
1. What new features does DES incorporate compared to the previous edition?
The essence of the congress, with its world-renowned unique approach, remains the same. However, this year we have delved deeper into the parts that were most highly rated last year and added new topics and blocks.
That is, we reinforce the structure of well-differentiated blocks to cover the world cambodia phone number of digital business from the perspective of all the roles of organizations (Management, Marketing and Sales, HR, Technology, Digital...), covering 12 industries and dedicating several series to the technologies (Cloud, BDA, Cybersecurity, IoT, AI, Blockchain...) that are facilitating this entire revolution.
In short, we are once again devoting 20% โโof the Congress to thought leadership and 80% to realities that impact business bottom lines right now, not in 5 years.
In terms of marketing, we continue to consolidate Digital Marketing Planet as the specific event for marketing and sales professionals. This year we are once again devoting 3 full days to it, with 6 very different blocks:
1. CMO Priorities
2. Delivering Actual Results
3. Engagement Drivers
4. The Agencies
5. MarTech
6. From CMO to CXO (Customer Experience Officer) in 6 episodes. A Masterclass offered by the famous Hyper Island.
The truth is that as a lover of business-oriented marketing, I could dedicate the entire interview to talking about these 6 blocks, but I will let people see the list of national and international speakers on the different channels.
2. What is the concept of this year's meeting?
In the first edition we discussed global digital transformation as a phenomenon that affects all organizations and impacts all their business areas, including human resources and the company's own culture.
Giving this holistic view of digitalization was the key to beginning to see it as a transformative phenomenon for the market and society.
This year, we want to provide a roadmap for companies through the Digital Maturity Journey concept.
This is a concept that proposes three scenarios that are reproduced in a circular fashion, because we must not forget that the phenomenon of digital transformation has no end, because technological advances do not stop occurring.
These three scenarios allow companies to know where they are, so they can decide where they want to go and with which partners.
The first of these, Start, refers to the knowledge and understanding of our type of client, the identification of the talent that we have and/or that we want to attract, the preparation of managers and the construction of an IT strategy.
The second stage, Perform, involves developing a customer-centric business strategy and internal company talent, as well as a digital corporate culture. The last stage, Optimize, is a level that very few organizations are at.
It is reaching the point where, thanks to the use of analytical tools, we can create customer experiences beyond their expectations, where the corporate vision must change to adapt to our renewed organization.
