LSecurity has always been a constant concern in digital media, especially when it comes to dating apps like Tinder, where users may have doubts about whether the other person is really who they say they are or if it is a fake profile, a stalker or a scam.
For this reason, the application belonging to Match Group has been investing for years in strengthening security within its platform. In this sense, it has announced the incorporation of a new verification method, which will promote a safer and more authentic environment within the application.
Identity verification is coming to Tinder, as a mostly voluntary option
As an app for meeting people, Tinder must offer a safe belgium business email database environment so that its users can interact with their matches, i.e. people who show mutual interest on the platform, in complete confidence. For this reason, the dating app has been implementing different degrees of verification, such as photo verification.
This feature has been available on the app for some time now and allows Tinder users to know if they are talking to the person shown in their profile. Accounts that have gone through this verification will have a blue badge with a checkmark, much like the one displayed on verified Twitter accounts.
The new validation will not replace the one mentioned above, but will coexist with it to offer greater security. This new verification will involve uploading the respective identity document of each country (for example, in Spain it would be the DNI). With this, the company hopes to reinforce an environment of trust among its users and avoid the proliferation of false profiles, which can generate a bad experience for those who use the application, while also presenting a danger to their integrity.
