The traditional Christmas shopping season in the United States, which begins with Black Friday and ends on Christmas Day, has a long history. Sales on the fourth Thursday of November (note: American holiday Thanksgiving) began in the 19th century, but the term "Black Friday" appeared in 1966 in Philadelphia. This name characterized the situation on the roads, after Thanksgiving there were serious traffic jams.

Today, about 20% of all retail sales in the senegal company email list United States occur between Black Friday and Christmas. The total number of shoppers has recently reached over 200 million people, with the average check being about $400.

For Russia, this is a relatively new but steadily developing phenomenon. In our country, "Black Friday" was launched in 2013 and retailers did not immediately understand that the sale should not be just a showcase that lures as many visitors to the site as possible. In reality, complex work with social networks, advertising and PR should be carried out. Today, things are much better and the prospects for development are obvious.

According to Google search engine data, over the past 5 years, interest in Black Friday among Internet users has more than doubled. And according to internal data from Black-Friday.Global for 2018, sales in Russia show a 527% increase compared to a normal day.

In November 2018, more than 2 million queries were counted that were related to the mention of Black Friday. It was also noted that compared to 2017, the number of similar queries increased by 15%.

It is worth noting that offline and online shoppers behave differently. In traditional stores, the most active time is considered to be in the afternoon, while the peak of mobile queries occurs in the evening.
