In our experience, if you don't want a parent page slug in your child page's URL, it's best not to create a child page at all. Instead, you can just create a regular page and use a dropdown navigation menu to indicate that other pages belong under that page.
Adding Child Items to a MenuHowever, we understand that some users may still use child pages and do not want to include the parent page's slug in the URL.
Removing Parent Page Slug from Child Page URL in WordPress
The first thing you need to do is install and activate the Custom Permalinks plugin . For more details, see our step-by-step guide on how to install a WordPress plugin .
Once activated, you need to edit the child page you want to change. Below the content area, you will see a “Custom Permalinks” field where you can change the URL of the child page.

Now you will see the current default URL of your list of ghana cell phone numbe page in the permalink field. All you have to do is click on it and enter the custom URL you want to use for your child page.
In our example, the page is hollywood-boulevardea child of vonlocations, so the default permalink locations/hollywood-boulevardeis.
We have removed the parent slug Standortsfrom the URL as you can see in the screenshot below.

Don’t forget to click the “Refresh” button to save your page and apply your URL changes.
After you save your changes, the plugin will automatically redirect the old permalink to the new address. This means that your visitors will not see a 404 error when they click on a link or bookmark to the old address of the page.
