Using queries of the latter type does not necessarily imply specifying the region. For example, if you live in Vologda and decide to order pizza online, you can enter in the search line "pizza order" and "pizza order in Vologda". In both cases, you will receive approximately the same list of sites. The search engine understands that by entering this query, you are interested in the delivery service in your region, so it offers sites registered in this area.
In addition, geo-dependent formulations include names of landmarks, historical monuments or popular objects of a certain area. For example, if a user in Moscow enters the word "Olympic" in a search engine, he will be given resources related to the sports complex. If a resident of Voronezh makes the same request, he will receive data about a new microdistrict, and a person in Sochi will be offered resources mentioning the local sports complex.

Concept: search results are oriented to the user's location (change within the Russian Federation):
· Usually commercial resources.
· No more than 30% of the total number of queries in Yandex.
· When promoting a website, regional binding is required
Concept: search results are the same for users from different regions of the Russian Federation:
· Usually non-commercial resources.
· No more than 70% of the total number of queries in Yandex.
· Promotion of one website throughout the country is allowed
You already have a general idea of geo-dependent and geo-independent queries.
However, do not forget that there are no rules without exceptions, which we want to tell you about:
With a geo-independent query, the search results are stable, and it does not matter from which region it came. At the same time, residents of other countries will receive a completely different list of sites. For example, for the same informational query, users of Russia will see one list of links, Ukraine - another, and Belarus - a third.
As a rule, commercial resources are offered for a geo-dependent request, but this list may also include informational sites. The only thing is that the TOP of the search results will include pages where you can buy/order now, and informational sites very rarely rise to the top positions.
We have already mentioned that it is not necessary to specify the region in a geo-dependent query. In addition, it is possible not to write words that are usually used in commercial queries, for example, “buy”, “delivery”, “cost”, etc. To correctly determine the type of query, you need to pay attention not to how it is formulated, but to what you received in the search results. For example, if you write “sporting goods stores” in the search line, you will see:

Thus, the user receives results tied to his location, therefore, this is a geo-dependent request, despite the absence of the city name and the words "buy" or "order". Let's try another formulation, for example, "how to choose a tracksuit". The results are:
