The OMR Festival is no longer a lively scene event in the online marketing industry. Maybe it used to be, but with the OMR 22, this claim is history. Anyone who has understood this can look at the festival with different eyes for what it is. The OMR is a trade fair, party, festival and conference all in one. It offers a place for exchange with customers and partners, embedded in a spectacular supporting program.

OMR concept is successful
That's why everyone is there, and because everyone is there, the concept works. Stars and prominent speakers draw the crowds, and big exhibitors are drawn by the crowds. These, in turn, attract agencies, start-ups and the press. Ultimately, everyone benefits from the festival.

It was a festival for the masses. It was not an online marketing festival, but rather a mixture of many different approaches, a media fair, so to speak. The entire market was looked at through the lens of online marketing.

Online marketing becomes a popular sport
Now the experienced critic will lament that the OMR has lost its focus. However, we come to a different conclusion. The OMR Festival 2022 has managed to take digital marketing out of its niche and into the mainstream. It brings service providers together with customers. It creates an interdisciplinary exchange and thus makes an important contribution to the further development of the online market, even though the exhibition grounds were already very crowded on Monday.
Online marketing could be viewed from many different perspectives at OMR 22. The exciting thing about it was that everyone could design their festival visit to suit their interests. The master classes in particular, if you could find a place in them, offered exciting new ideas from technical experts.
OMR 2023 - Looking forward to what's to come
In any case, we are looking forward to the next OMR Festival 23 and are excited to see how Philipp Westermeyer and his huge team continue to develop the festival. The possibilities offered to visitors at the OMR are already huge. Everyone can design their own individual OMR and focus on what is important to them.

This year we were very lucky to be able to use the stand of our colleagues from 2do-digital in Hamburg for customer discussions and meetings. Next year, having our own stand would certainly be desirable, according to the general feedback from our ranks.

The OMR 22 was the perfect opportunity for us to network. After years of abstinence due to Corona, a crowd like this can be quite irritating. But that was exactly what we were all longing for for so long. We will be back in 2023 and are sure that we will not regret it then either.
Conclusion: Between expandable and superlatives - OMR22
It remains to be seen how the OMR will develop in the long term. For next year, we hope that the focus will be more on the topics of sustainability and climate protection, as we see these as the key challenges for the coming years. These topics were mostly only dealt with in passing at the OMR 22 and then very superficially.
Something also needs to be done about the logistics. Either fewer people or more exhibition space. What is ultimately decided remains to be seen. In any case, we at mso digital draw a positive conclusion and take our hats off. The latter especially to the nice staff at the festival, who, despite some organizational shortcomings, always tried to find solutions for all visitors. Great job!
