What would Taras Shevchenko's voice sound like if he lived in our time?

A Ukrainian creative agency has created a creative reconstruction of Taras Shevchenko's voice. This unique project was implemented on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Independence. The project itself is called the most complex in the Tabasco agency's history. Its partners were the National Taras Shevchenko Museum, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and the Wantent company.

What is unique about the project?
As explained in Tabasco, the first phonograph for recording and reproducing sound was invented only in 1877, 16 years after the death of Taras Shevchenko.

"Therefore, there are no recordings of the writer's voice. However, thanks to the latest technologies, we can come close to reproducing it," they emphasized.

It should be noted that over 150 people worked on the project for almost a year. Among them were various specialists - programmers, designers, historians, and Shevchenko scholars.

How did you manage to realize your plan?
The project used precise anthropometric data, established egypt number data thanks to the poet's preserved death mask. However, as the agency explained, in addition to physiology, the voice depends on many other factors. This includes habits, lifestyle, and even previous illnesses.

A group of Shevchenko scholars spent a month searching the archives for useful information. “We started looking for memories from contemporaries. Data about appearance, voice, manner of behavior. It was extremely fascinating. Because it allowed us, despite the text and the era, to see Shevchenko alive – in flesh and blood,” said Oleg Magdych from the Shevchenko National Museum.
After that, all the information received was distributed according to the degree of importance. At the same time, specialists created a 3D model of the writer’s head. Then, they found 108 people who matched the identified parameters as closely as possible.

The candidate rating was formed taking into account:

appearance;
height;
physique;
region;
health features, etc.
Formation of the final rating
Using special algorithms, the team working on the project was able to determine the level of similarity of each candidate to Shevchenko. A multifactor model reduced the sample to 26 candidates, the most similar. Based on research on the presence of a clear correlation between body, facial features and voice, the neural network selected the 3 most representative candidates.
