On Tuesday, on Digital Day, Swiss television dared to try an experiment. Pepper the robot greeted viewers of "Schweiz aktuell". This introduction was rather difficult to understand acoustically. And so, at the end of the show, presenter Bigna Silberschmidt correctly concluded that a lot would still have to happen before the robot could replace her. The scenario later on in "Kassensturz" was similar. Ueli Schmezer's avatar was also not yet convincing.
Well, maybe Silberschmidt and Schmezer really america rcs data don't have to worry about being replaced by digital humanoid figures. Maybe one day a completely different scenario will emerge: There will no longer be any need for moderators, neither human nor artificial. At least no longer anyone who simply introduces a segment. Only longer talk formats would survive.
With the Internet and catch-up TV, linear television has long had competitors who have created a completely new user behavior. Today, more and more viewers no longer watch the "Tagesschau" at 7:30 p.m. because that's what the TV schedule says. They watch it at a later time, whenever it suits them. And there is another development to which the industry has already reacted: news reports are prepared specifically for online use. For users who don't want to watch the entire "Tagesschau", but only a very specific report. And such news pieces no longer need an introduction. A report like this must be able to work without one.
