After the election of Donald Trump as US president, critics accuse the traditional media of failure. They have made Trump great while at the same time underestimating him. The "Media Club" on Tuesday evening was a welcome broadening of horizons.
Franz Fischlin had a good hand in india rcs data selecting the panelists. The composition of the participants was cleverly chosen in terms of diversity of opinion. The different views meant that the topic could be illuminated in a wide range of ways. The panelists were: Michael Hermann, political scientist, Matthias Ackeret, editor-in-chief of the media magazine "Persönlich" and moderator of Blocher-TV, Michèle Binswanger, journalist for "Tages-Anzeiger" and Matthias Zehnder, publicist and media scientist.
Thanks to the different views of the panel, the moderator was able to shed light on the complex issue from a variety of angles. That was beneficial. Unfortunately, there are too many discussion programs that are put together in a way that is far too one-sided. The viewers then take on the tube view of such unsatisfactory discussion panels.
