Remove barriers to AI adoption
As with any new technology, there are factors that can hinder AI adoption. These include issues with people, processes, and/or tools that can slow innovation and growth. Whatever these issues are, they can also hinder an organization’s ability to implement AI across the enterprise.


Functional silos and disjointed processes. To overcome this barrier, organizations must support cross-departmental collaboration, standardize workflows, and create a culture of transparency. Aligning goals and using interconnected tools increases efficiency and ensures smoother, more integrated operations across the globe. The good news is that business leaders are excited and optimistic about the potential impact of AI on collaboration: In a recent survey by Miro, one in three said they would like to use AI to help teams work better together—and in turn, innovate faster.
Insufficient education. Focus on privacy and security issues
Last but certainly not least, consider the privacy and security concerns that come with AI. As more organizations adopt AI, CISOs and general counsels cite security as one of the top — perhaps the biggest — concerns when adopting the technology. And they’re right. Despite its benefits, AI comes with potential risks, including possible data manipulation, privacy breaches, and model vulnerabilities.

To mitigate these risks, organizations should develop robust AI governance policies, conduct regular audits, and stay informed about emerging threats. Transparent communication and ongoing training, coupled with frequent reviews of security practices, ensure that AI can be deployed with confidence while maintaining the highest standards of security and privacy.
