The events of 2020 have forced companies across EMEA to radically rethink their work patterns, with millions of employees working remotely – from home offices, kitchens, or even living room sofas.
As noted in a Eurofund study , almost half of the entire EU workforce switched to remote work in the first months of 2020. Then, in just a few weeks, this figure doubled.
The pandemic has made remote work and pakistan mobile database working more commonplace and normal. But it has also created a new headache for companies across industries: data security.
Today, IT managers are forced to operate in an environment where corporate data is scattered across a variety of locations. Whereas previously it was typically physically contained in a limited, controlled space, such as a company’s offices or data centers, it is now scattered across hundreds or thousands of private homes.
It should be taken into account that ensuring data protection is not only the task of the IT service, but of the entire business as a whole. Yes, technology is an important part of solutions for efficient data storage and processing. But in the digital economy, data protection requires a comprehensive strategic approach, implementation of policies across the entire company, and continuous employee training.
The potential damage from data loss or leakage far outweighs any investment required to implement the required strategies and technologies. Failure in this area will result in wasted time and money, which is unacceptable for companies, especially in today’s unprecedented economic uncertainty.
Nowadays, every day is Data Protection Day
