Junior Gomes – From Quixeramobim to the World
Born and raised in the rural area of Quixeramobim, in the central hinterland of Ceará, Júnior Gomes had more than just the gray landscape of drought on his horizon. At the age of 18, Júnior Gomes moved to Fortaleza, where he began working professionally as a composer.
In 2011, he had his first song recorded: “Vou beber que amar tá difícil” (I'm going to drink, love is hard), by the band Forró Pop. This would be Júnior Gomes' first big hit, and in 2017, dozens of his songs were among the most played in the country. Such as the mega hit “Arcondicionado no 15” (Arcondicionado at 15), recorded by Wesley Safadão.
