Understanding the scale of the danger, many companies resort to installing specialized software to protect themselves from attacks. In recent years, it has been enriched with artificial intelligence and machine learning, which increases the level of user protection from known and unknown threats. For now, these technologies are securely in the hands of the cybersecurity industry, but it is possible that after some time they will fall into the hands of cybercriminals. “Attacks using machine learning are quite possible. To avoid detection, malware will learn to change code, identify methods of its detection. AI malware will appear when the barrier to entry into the technology is lowered,” believes Mikko Hypponen, Research Director at F-Secure.
Fortunately, has a respite for now – AI and machine egypt mobile database specialists are in demand like never before, and companies are hiring them with great enthusiasm, offering higher salaries. “There is a catastrophic shortage of machine learning experts. If you are an expert in this field, you do not need to engage in criminal activity, because you can easily find a company with an excellent reputation that will pay you a high salary and at the same time you will travel around the world,” Hypponen said.
Twenty years ago, cybercriminals needed skills to create and distribute malware to participate in a hacking attack and receive financial rewards; today, all it takes is being a member of numerous web forums on the darknet. Amateurs with little or no experience deploying malware can buy a kit of them for just a few dollars. Hypponen believes that over time, criminals will start selling malicious software from the darknet that will have AI capabilities.
