Currently, Microsoft seems to be adding more and more communication and collaboration tools to the Office suite without adequately differentiating them from each other or explaining how they actually relate to each other. This means that companies are finding it increasingly difficult to use them effectively.
Functional overlaps between individual programs, as is particularly evident in Microsoft Teams, lead to confusion and it is often left to the employees of a company to decide what exactly they want to use for what purpose.
Accordingly, IT departments are often asked to shed light on the matter – but they usually have difficulty defining clear areas of application and thus offering their colleagues guidance.
