According to the Shodan search engine, there are currently around 710,000 unprotected PostgreSQL servers with open network port 5432 that are vulnerable to hacker attacks, of which 80,000 are provided by AWS.
42% of companies suffered from illegal nepal whatsapp data mining. Most often, attackers use the CoinHive virus to mine Bitcoin and other digital currencies, which attacked every fifth organization in the world. In second place is Cryptoloot (16%), which attacked twice as many companies in February as in January. Next came the Rig EK exploit kit with 15%. Experts believe that cryptominers pose a threat not only as mining tools - over time, they can be trained to perform other malicious actions. But even without that, mining is a resource-intensive process that takes up free computing resources. As a result, many work operations either begin to slow down or stop altogether. Another problem is that mining consumes electricity, and this already causes direct losses for companies.
Cryptominers are a profitable business for hackers. One of the most effective botnets, Smominru, helped its owners earn more than 3.6 million in dollar equivalent. There are other mining botnets in operation now, like WannaMine. They are all similar to each other and exploit almost the same vulnerabilities. They are dangerous because they work without downloading any files, and they also use “legitimate” software like WMI and PowerShell, which makes mining viruses difficult to detect.
