Social media mainly used for reach and branding
In addition to the organization of social media, we also looked at its use. In other words: for what purpose do companies use social media and to what extent is the achievement of these goals measured?

Main objectives

Social media are used by 84% of companies for 'reach' or 'branding'. It is striking that 'customer service' (webcare) is only in fifth place. Even for companies with service-sensitive products, 'customer service' is not higher on the list. In addition, 'sales' via social media is often not a priority, other goals take precedence.

Majority of companies do not measure whether their goals are achieved
