As for the logic behind being optimistic about the post-holiday market, I agree more with Morgan Stanley's view: Although Chinese stocks may continue to be under pressure in the short term due to factors such as US policies, a strong dollar and geopolitical tensions, it is expected that around the end of January, as Trump's China policy and China's response become clearer, the market is expected to reverse. After the market reversal, factors such as Lunar New Year consumption, macroeconomic data, corporate earnings and policy stimulus will affect stock market performance.

74.6 million US dollars! Apple CEO Cook’s salary has skyrocketed.

On January 10th local time, Apple released a report showing that CEO Tim Cook's salary in 2024 reached US$74.6 million (approximately RMB 547 million), an increase of 18% from 2023.

This includes: $3 million in base salary, $58.1 million in stock facebook data incentives, and approximately $13.5 million in additional compensation. The pay rise was mainly due to an increase in the value of stock awards.

Compensation increased to $74.6 million

Recently, Apple released a detailed annual report to investors, which disclosed important information such as the company's executives' compensation, shareholder proposals, etc., and announced that it will hold its annual shareholders' meeting on February 25.

One of the highlights of the report was the compensation of Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Cook's compensation structure is very rich, including base salary, stock rewards, performance-based rewards, and other compensation.

The base salary is $3 million, the stock award is $58.09 million, the performance-based award is $12 million, and other compensation covers life insurance premiums, security fees, and personal air travel expenses.
In terms of salary structure, Cook's personal air travel expenses account for a large proportion of his total income .

In 2017, Apple's board of directors implemented a policy requiring Cook to use private jets for all business and personal travel for safety and efficiency reasons .
