How to Create a WordPress Contact Form

Post by mouakter14 »

In the “Form” section, add the necessary HTML for your contact form. You can use the various preset buttons to generate the shortcodes for the most popular form tags. To make things easier, check out the descriptions below for the preset form tags that come with Contact Form 7.

Text – Creates a form label for a single line of text. Text fields are useful for first names, last names, and other text-based snippets that don’t require multiple lines.
Email – Create a form tag for an email address.
URL – Creates a form tag for a URL.
Phone – Create a form label for a phone number.
Number – Creates a form label for a number. Unlike “text” or “textarea” input fields, “number” fields only allow numeric digits.
Date – Creates a form label for a date.
Text Area – Create a form label for a text area. Unlike a normal chile phone number data “text” input field, a “text area” field allows for multiple lines of text. They are ideal for entering the body of your message.
Dropdown Menu – Create a form label for a dropdown menu.
Checkboxes – Create a form label for checkboxes.
Radio Buttons – Create a form label for radio buttons.
Opt-In – Create a form label for an opt-in checkbox.
Quiz – Create a form tag for a question and answer pair.
File – Creates a form label for a file upload field.
Submit – Create a form label for a submit button.
Now let’s customize a contact form. To make it complete, we’ll create a contact form that uses all the pre-built form tags in Contact Form 7.

The Form “text” label
When you click on a preset form label in Contact Form 7, you will see a context menu like the one below. In this menu, you can configure the form label settings. At the bottom, you will see a shortcut that can be embedded in your contact form template.
