The best place to start defining your ICP is by looking inwards – at your current best customers.

CRM Analysis: Dive deep into your CRM data. Identify your most profitable, loyal, or long-term customers. What common traits do they share? How were they acquired? What products or services did they buy? Are there patterns in their sales cycle?
Interviewing Top Clients: Go directly to the source. Conduct structured interviews with your most successful clients. Where are competitors finding success? Tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, or SimilarWeb can reveal where your competitors are getting their traffic, what keywords they rank for, and what ads they're running. This can uncover common "watering holes" for your shared ICP.
Uncovering underserved niches: Is there a segment of your ICP that your competitors are missing or not serving well? This could be a fast-growth opportunity.
Industry reports and trends: Stay updated with market research and industry publications. These often highlight emerging needs, shifts in buyer behavior, and new platforms where your customers might be congregating. Anticipating these shifts allows you to position your lead generation
