This post highlights the Merge Tags feature, which allows users to pull field values from related records directly into Print Templates and Email Templates. Let’s dive in and learn more about this feature.
What is a merge card?
Merge Tags can be applied to Print Templates or Email Templates and are used as placeholders in the template. Merge Tags automatically populate data, typically from fields, after the template is applied to a record or when an email is sent. When creating Email Templates or Print Templates, users can apply Merge Tags to these templates to ensure they are adding personalized touches and/or pulling relevant data into the templates they create.
Use cases
There are virtually endless ways Merge Tags can be used to europe cell phone number list automate the process of adding personal details or relevant information to the content of Email and Print Templates. Here are two examples that highlight some of the common ways our customers use Merge Tags:
Email Templates
When creating an Email Template to be sent to multiple recipients or used in an Email Campaign, users can personalize the email using the “Contact: Name” Merge Tag. This will automatically pull the Contact’s Name into the email body for all intended recipients. This allows for email personalization regardless of the number of recipients.
Print Templates
When creating Print Templates for Quotes, Orders, Invoices, etc… Users can apply Tag Merge to Templates to ensure all relevant and important information is applied to the document. Let's use the Invoice Print Template as an example.
