Why lead nurturing is important

Post by Abdur14 »

As the name suggests, leads need to be fed if you want them to continue being leads. It's just the opposite of what happens with trolls (don't feed the troll, my friend). Remember that a lead is someone who has shown enough interest in our eCommerce to leave us their contact information (email, social networks, phone, etc.), usually through a registration form.

Unlike trolls, which are creatures that have a hard time dying even if you don't feed them, leads are delicate creatures, like Tamagotchis. If you don't feed them, they die quickly. And if you feed them the wrong food, like gremlins , you run the risk of their food going bad and turning into evil trolls.

What leads “eat”
And what do leads eat? Well, they eat things that have value for them. This “value” can be two types:

1. Objective value (monetary)
black friday 2017That is, money. In the form of germany number data discount vouchers, flash offers, personalized discounts, free shipping or anything that saves money. Sorry, not anything.

If you offer a measly 5 Euro discount voucher on purchases of 200 Euros or more (and I swear by Mark Zuckerberg that I have seen this happen) you will see how the lead metamorphoses, their fangs grow longer and claws grow. And you will deserve it, for trying to fool them. So if you decide to offer objective value to your leads, it must be a value capable of tipping the balance towards the purchase decision. Objective value goes beyond discounts.

It can include gifts, invitations to events, free tickets, trips ... and a long list of things that can be assigned a value in euros.
