A woman is being sued by her former landlord for complaining on Twitter about the condition of the apartment he rented to her in Chicago, which was managed by Horizon Group Management .
In her comments on the microblogging platform, Amanda bank data Bonnen said she lived in an apartment full of mould, something Horizon does not deny, although it does clarify that steps were taken to put an end to the problem.
The company regrets that Bonnen released her opinions to the world after she had left the apartment and is suing her for $50,000 for damages to her business reputation, even though the user had only 17 followers on Twitter and has closed her account.
Many critics of the company, however, claim that it is seeking free publicity through the lawsuit.
