All available technologies for laying fiber-optic cables

he right to supply DWDM equipment and put it into operation for the Novy Urengoy-Norilsk fiber-optic communication line was won in a competition in 2016 by the system integrator ADV Consulting. For the construction of the linear part, Edinstvo invited partners specializing in fiber-optic communication line installation. However, according to ComNews, during the construction process Edinstvo was forced to change three contractors for the construction of the linear part, and none of them was able to fully complete their scope of work. As a result, Edinstvo created its own internal construction and installation department (CID) and took on the construction work on its own. The project for the second fiber-optic communication line was fully completed by specialists from Edinstvo LLC.

were used during the construction slovenia whatsapp resource of the main and backup lines: from suspension to transmission line supports to laying in the ground and even in the river bed. The first optical cable to Norilsk was laid mostly overhead (both on transmission line supports and on its own support structures): in areas where there was no infrastructure (about 200 km), "Unity" installed about 2,500 different support structures with a height of 10 m to 20 m. To ensure reliability, about 200 km of the new FOCL Norilsk - Novy Urengoy were laid in the ground (or more precisely, in permafrost), and in areas where there were power lines, "Unity" re-used the technology of suspending the optical cable from transmission line supports, while striving to implement the maximum distance of the second line from the first. In particular, a half-ring around Norilsk is attached to the transmission line supports (the other half-ring is formed by the first fiber-optic communication line).

The Yenisei River is located on the fiber-optic communication line route from Norilsk to Novy Urengoy, and its crossing became one of the most difficult sections of the work. During the construction of the first fiber-optic cable to back up the crossing over the Yenisei, Unity and ADV Consulting connected the banks of the Yenisei by installing radio relay stations on both sides that operated at a speed of 1 Gbit/s. In 2019, new "relays" of the St. Petersburg-based DOC LLC appeared there with a throughput of up to 10 Gbit/s per trunk, which made it possible to increase the capacity of the radio bridge to 40 Gbit/s. To force the Yenisei River with optical lines, Unity provided for an underwater crossing. Its length is 4 km, of which 3.5 km are on the river bottom and 0.5 km are buried in the flooded banks.
