Referral exclusion settings

Post by shaownhasan »

Set up referrer exclusion.
If you just change the tag description, the domain of your site, which is a different domain, will appear in the referrer.
By setting up referrer exclusion, you can correctly measure "where the user came from."
Please set the domain of the cross-domain target site as shown in the figure below.

1

Where to set it: Admin ⇒ Property ⇒ Tracking Info ⇒ Referrer Exclusion List

3. Creating a filter
Next, create the filter.

The domain name isn't displayed in the Google Analytics report. For example, in vp hr email lists the case of the home page, it is probably displayed as "/index.html". If left as is, "aaa.jp/index.html" and "bbb.com/index.html" will both be displayed as the same "index.html" and added together.
By creating a filter, you can change it to "http://aaa.jp/index.html".
Look at the image below and fill in the relevant parts.
Now, even if there are pages with the same name on both cross-domain sites, you will be able to tell which site the page is from.

However, filters modify the data itself, so you should duplicate the view and test it before implementing it.
