This was stated by the Director of Digital and Information Technologies of Sibur Alisa Melnikova during the plenary session of the II Federal Forum on Digitalization and IT in the Chemical and Petrochemical Industry"Digital Chemistry", organized by ComNews. Companies that are part of the Industrial Competence Center (ICC) "Chemistry" expressed their willingness to use each other's best practices.
The ICC was created to enable chemical companies to jointly use specialized software developed by ICC members. Companies that are members of the ICC only have to adapt azerbaijan whatsapp number database the software to their needs, which is easier and cheaper than starting development from scratch. But Alisa Melnikova decided to go further - to change the technological processes within the company for the sake of better experience for partners.
to be friends very well. The next step is the same good interaction of business teams. Without this, we will spend a long time trying to guess the requirements of our own business and apply obviously inappropriate customized practices of others. Companies need to accept that they can have the same processes as other organizations," Alisa Melnikova said from the forum podium. "Companies need to show each other business processes. And if one of them has the best practice, then we can accept each other's processes along with the solutions. It would be wonderful to integrate such a paradigm into our work."
"As they say, start with yourself. Is Sibur ready to change its internal business and perhaps technological processes to suit the products of its competitors?" - clarified the moderator of the discussion Leonid Konik, CEO and editor-in-chief of ComNews.
"If these are best practices, we are ready. For example, with Severstal, a good, serious company that is closely involved in business optimization, we agreed to look at the process of servicing repairs. They have a developed solution, they have a team. We want to be more efficient, we want to be better. If they have a better process, why not? It is profitable for us. And if it is profitable, then their solution will suit us too," answered Alisa Melnikova.
It cannot be said that the audience unanimously supported the unexpected proposal of the Sibur representative. It seemed too sensational to many. However, such a policy had its loyal supporters.
"I fully agree with what Alisa Melnikova says. The next step is to discard unnecessary legal business restrictions," said Nikita Popov, CEO of UralAiTech.
Deputy Director for Digitalization at EuroChem JSC Valery Cherepanov also supported Sibur's idea in a conversation with a ComNews correspondent: "We support the exchange of opinions, as well as the restructuring of business and technological processes taking into account the best practices of companies. And it does not matter whether these companies are our competitors or not. Business has always looked for best practices. Previously, consulting firms were involved for this. But it is not a fact that their average interpretations of other companies' practices were the best. Now we can directly exchange experiences, and this is not a question of competition, but a stage of evolution and development. There is no need to be afraid of this. There is only one danger here - to miss the moment. If we do not try, others will take our place. They will begin to develop best practices with partners, and we, instead of investing in expertise and taking the helm of a new trend, will find ourselves in the role of catching up."
Valery Cherepanov is confident that the policy of openness and exchange of best practices will lead to increased competitiveness of Russian companies in the foreign market.
"We don't need to compete within Russia - it's more important to be competitive globally. To be resilient to the challenges of the global economy, we need to exchange practices and develop solutions together. And this is already partnership, not competition," concluded Valery Cherepanov.
"Within the ICC, IT teams from different companies have learned
