Who cares about the difference between Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning?
Frankly, I cared little and saw no reason to waste time finding out what would surely be a minor and useless triviality.
As I dug deeper into the topic, my preconceived notion turned out to be wrong.
It is now quite clear that AI is the future , so it stands to reason that having a good understanding of the subject is a good thing. Conversely, ignorance is bad.
To prepare for a reality inundated with these technologies, it's time to make sure we understand the fundamentals of AI.
one of the central forces poised to reshape our society.
Understanding the differences between these terms, and by extension, understanding the scope of what they vp manufacturing production email list entail, provides immediate clarity and the ability to better apply the tools at our disposal. In short, information is power.
So... let's get to work!
What is the difference between ML and AI?
Broadly speaking, artificial intelligence is a machine capable of displaying some characteristic(s) or form(s) of human intelligence.
Because of the broadness of this definition, it includes everything from basic machine learning (which will be explained shortly) to a fully-fledged sentient robot overlord.
It is therefore prudent that we begin by defining some key distinctions between artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Since artificial intelligence is the broader term, it's time to get more specific.
