Vladimir Lebedev, Business Development Director at Stack Group LLC (Stack Group and M1Cloud), also believes that the forecast by CorpSoft 24 analysts is realistic: "The IaaS market growth by the end of 2023 will be about 40%, which is natural in the context of sanctions restrictions. Businesses are trying to minimize risks and are transferring critical information systems to the cloud, and in addition, they are using cloud backup for systems located on physical cameroon whatsapp resource equipment. High demand will be facilitated by the departure of foreign vendors from the Russian market, which has complicated the supply of equipment and components. Also, now there is no way to use vendors' technical support, so businesses are turning to the expertise of service providers."
, confirms that the Russian IaaS market is growing rapidly: "We agree with the forecast of 40% growth. As for other segments, there are differences in methodologies - what is classified as PaaS, what is classified as SaaS in pure or combined forms, therefore, depending on the methodology, growth can be from 30% to 100% (the SaaS segment, for example). The main growth drivers are the deferred demand of a number of companies after February 2022 and the growing regulatory changes that require prompt landing of resources in the Russian Federation, as well as the growing level of digitalization of all sectors and life with an increase in demand for such services among the population. Another big driver is the need to quickly import substitute large public foreign Internet platforms."
It's Not Just IaaS That Will Grow Rapidly
Alexander Batalov, CEO of JSC Flant, believes that IaaS and SaaS services are the main drivers of the market: "The growth rate of the cloud market in the IaaS segment is estimated differently by analysts. Some talk about a year-on-year increase in revenue by 50% or more. The largest players, as a rule, develop faster than the market and can demonstrate growth of 100% or more. High demand for IaaS is a consequence of the increasing level of software localization, including in the form of SaaS solutions, and the digital development of the country as a whole."
In the SaaS segment, Alexander Batalov noted two trends: "Firstly, due to the departure of foreign vendors from Russia, cloud providers have lost the opportunity to sell licenses for their cloud products, as well as provide certified technical support services. Companies that had a large share of profits from these services are forced to reformat. Secondly, mature domestic software products have begun to appear, thanks to which the SaaS market can grow further. Among the most popular areas are CRM systems, EDI, office packages, communication platforms, analytical systems."
Valentin Sokolov, IT Director of the RCloud by 3data cloud platform, DC 3Data LLC, draws attention to the increasing demand for related services: "Many customers are actively scaling. There are many new branches in current customer projects that require us to launch new cloud capacities. Separately, it is worth noting the growth in demand for security services. The end user is interested not only in a base that will allow them to withstand DDoS attacks, but also in additional services; for example, we are seeing requests for L7 protection or ensuring cybersecurity during service migration."
